"J. D." built a system around a 400-watt Peavey amplifier, Peavey HT1510 speakers, a multi-channel stereo mixer, turntables, and CD players.  Soon, he was getting calls for wedding and party bookings before a Navy transfer brought him to Jacksonville, Florida in 1989. He found DJ work playing for several Jacksonville entertainment agencies
and building up favorable "word-of-mouth" advertising from satisfied clients.
For more than 16 years, J. D. the D. J. has provided the music and announcing services for dozens of weddings, holiday galas and all types of parties in and around Jacksonville.
The dazzling dance floor light show features a D. J. Avenger that
throws bright moving beams of colored light which react to the beat of the music.
And, of course, there's the classic revolving disco mirror ball!

About the name: The business went by the name RETRO-ROCK-IT during most of the '90s decade. In 2001 the name "JAXDEEJAY" was tried for about four years, but business was never as good with the new name, so RETRO-ROCK-IT was brought back. Remember, RETRO-ROCK-IT is more than just great oldies, it's the latest Top 40 pop and dance hits, too! With a music library spanning six decades, requests are seldom a problem!
